The truth is, this platform didn't come from a place of expertise. It came from a period of real, deep questioning. When we talk about holistic education, we focus so much on what it does for the children. But the unspoken, beautiful truth is that this journey is rarely just about them. Often, as we seek an alternative, nature-connected path for our kids, we are actually reaching for the very elements that were missing from our own upbringings.
There's a beautiful quote: "Children do not just absorb the lessons we teach them; they absorb who we are. They are sent to us as spiritual mirrors, reflecting back the unhealed and underdeveloped parts of our own souls."
As we seek a calmer, more reverent, nature-connected path for our kids, we are gently forced to look inward. It brings up a question I constantly have to ask and remind myself: "Am I worthy of their imitation?" This path is, at its core, a journey of self-discovery and reparenting ourselves.
I am not a Waldorf expert. This digital space serves as a compass. Immersing myself in building this portal gave me a reason to dive deeper and figure things out. And I realised something comforting along the way: when you feel a little lost, the quickest way to find your own footing is to build a lighthouse for others. The more I shared and got involved, the more I learned. And ultimately, today, this space belongs to you. It is a shared sanctuary.
